Arturo H. Gonzalez

Arturo H. Gonzalez currently serves as the Superintendent of Parks for the City of Deerfield Beach, a position held since May 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Parks Manager for the City of Sunny Isles Beach from April 2015 to May 2023, where responsibilities encompassed planning, organizing, and implementing parks and facilities goals, coordinating renovation projects, and formulating division policies. Additional roles at the City of Sunny Isles Beach involved supervising facility maintenance and assisting with recreational programs, along with positions in the City of South Miami, Town of Surfside, City of Doral, and City of Sweetwater, all contributing to a robust background in parks and recreation management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Barry University, a Master of Arts in Disaster Management from Florida International University, and several degrees in business and recreation from Florida International University and Miami Dade College, with further education in progress towards an MBA at Western Governors University.
