Karen Coffman Avery

Karen Coffman Avery is an experienced administrative professional currently serving as the Executive Assistant to the City Manager and Deputy City Clerk for the City of Denison since July 2022. Previously, Karen held the position of Deputy City Secretary for the City of Anna, Texas, from December 2020 to July 2022, and spent over 16 years as the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Bellflower. Earlier in Karen's career, a role as a Judicial Assistant for Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services spanned from February 1988 to February 2003. Karen holds an Associate of Arts degree in Legal Assistant/Paralegal from Cerritos College and has further education from the University of California, Riverside.
