Ian Korpel

Ian Korpel is a skilled budget management and public safety analyst with experience in municipal roles across multiple cities. Currently serving as a Budget Management Analyst for the City of Des Moines since September 2020, Ian also holds a position as a Public Safety Analyst for the City of Davenport, where responsibilities include developing the Davenport Crime Intelligence program. Previous roles include Budget Aide for the City of Madison and City Manager Intern for Iowa City. Ian's foundational experience includes a research internship at National Defense University and a technical role within Buena Vista University's Technology Center. Ian earned a Master's degree in Public Affairs from the La Follette School of Public Affairs at UW-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Business from Buena Vista University.
