James Remington

James Remington has a diverse work experience in various roles within finance and accounting. James started their career as a Staff Accountant at RFSW & Co., P.C. CPA's in 2011 and worked there until 2015. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Tax Lead - Client Service Representative at RSM US LLP. In 2015, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa. James then joined PwC as an Experienced Associate from 2016 to 2017. In the same year, they briefly worked as a Senior Associate at BKD CPAs & Advisors. Since 2017, James has been working at the City of Des Moines, first as a Deputy Comptroller until 2020 and currently as the Deputy Finance Director.

James Remington obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from Mount Mercy University between 2008 and 2011. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Accounting at the University of Iowa from 2015 to 2016.
