Timothy Mahar, MS, has extensive experience in environmental science and education, currently serving as a Code Compliance Officer, Park Ranger, and Parking Enforcement Specialist for the City of Destin since 2012. Previous roles include Adjunct Instructor at the University of West Florida, where Timothy taught Global Agricultural Sustainability and Coastal Morphology/Lab from 2011 to 2014. Timothy's earlier career involved management and culinary positions at Destin & South Walton Restaurants from 1996 to 2008, and a civilian contractor role at Eglin Commissary from 1990 to 1995. Timothy began professional work as a circulation and statistics clerk at Saginaw Public Libraries - Zauel Branch from 1979 to 1989. Timothy holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Geography from the University of West Florida, as well as an Associate of Arts in Science/Geology from Northwest Florida State College.
