Alvita Lozano has amassed extensive experience in financial administration and project management within the public and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving in the City of Detroit's Office of the Chief Financial Officer in Development and Grants since February 2016, Alvita is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Development Program and has played a key role in developing standard operating procedures for significant development projects. Previous positions include Assistant Director and Director of the POST-HAB Gallery at The Heidelberg Project, where Alvita oversaw innovative projects, including the installation of a solar-powered security system and the launch of an emerging artist gallery. Additional roles range from project management at Hamilton Anderson Associates to various design and development positions at AECOM and URS Corporation. Alvita holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Interior Design and certifications in Museum Studies and Information Technology from Michigan State University.
