Cecilia Olvera, MPAP, currently serves as the Property Tax Foreclosure Prevention Manager for the City of Detroit, where management of a door-to-door campaign with community organizations aims to raise awareness of foreclosure intervention services. Previously, Cecilia was the Utilities Coordinator at Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, facilitating foreclosure prevention services and conducting monthly property tax webinars. Additional roles included Financial Counselor and Community Resource Navigator at the same agency, focusing on financial coaching and resource distribution. Earlier experience includes serving as Community Outreach Coordinator at H.M. Boyd Community Garden and Security Gate Officer at The Dow Chemical Company. Cecilia is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science at Wayne State University, having previously earned a Master of Public Administration and Policy from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University.
