Temwa Phiri

Temwa Phiri is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community engagement and education support. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Dubuque, Iowa since June 2019, Temwa previously worked as a Re-Engagement Coach for the Dubuque Community School District, where responsibilities included collaboration with agencies to support disengaged students. Additional roles include Behavioral Health Specialist at Life Connection, where skills in counseling and client assessments were honed, and various leadership positions during academic years at the University of Dubuque. Temwa holds a Master’s degree in Student Counseling and Personnel Services from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Wellness & Sport and Psychology from the University of Dubuque.
