Michael Handoga possesses extensive experience in fire service management, currently serving as Fire Marshal for the City of Dunedin since March 2016. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Largo from October 2012 to March 2016 and spent nearly a decade at St Pete Beach, where responsibilities included Lieutenant, Training Officer, and Shift Commander. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Emergency Services Management from Columbia Southern University, earned between 2012 and 2019, and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida, obtained in 2001.
