Justin Carlton has a diverse work experience. Justin started their career as a Technical Assistant at Mesa Verde National Park in 2008 and worked there until 2009. Justin then joined Computer Troubleshooters as a Computer Technician from 2009 to 2010. Following that, they worked at the City of Durango in various roles, including Transit Technician from 2010 to 2012, 911 Systems Analyst from 2012 to 2016, Network Coordinator from 2016 to 2020, and Infrastructure & Security Manager from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of IT at the City of Durango.

Justin Carlton obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Systems from Fort Lewis College, graduating in 2009. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certification from Cisco in May 2019. Justin is also pursuing a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certification, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
