Marty Pool serves as the Sustainability Manager for the City of Durango since January 2022, overseeing the city's sustainability office focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing environmental resilience. Previously, Marty held various positions at Fort Lewis College, including Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator for the Environmental Center, steering initiatives that promote environmental responsibility among students. Additional experience includes managing the Renter Efficiency Program at the University of Denver, instructing ACT/SAT preparation at CollegeDrive, guiding whitewater expeditions, and working as a Sustainability Engineer at The Brendle Group. Marty holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
