Braedon Koerwitz currently serves as a Planning & Performance Administrator for the City of Durham, a role held since July 2024. Prior to this position, Braedon worked as a contractor and POWER Program Coordinator for the Appalachian Regional Commission from September 2018 to July 2024. Braedon also has experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during the 2023-2024 academic year, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the UNC Highway Safety Research Center from June 2023 to January 2024. Earlier experiences include roles as an Administrative Assistant for an Independent Federal Government Agency and a Front of House Associate at Georgetown Cupcake, among others. Braedon holds a Master of City and Regional Planning, a Certificate in Natural Hazards Resilience, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, all obtained from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Braedon completed post-baccalaureate coursework in Urban and Economic Development at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
