James Lim

James Lim serves as the Water Efficiency and Conservation Manager for the City of Durham since June 2015, focusing on the sustainability of water resources. Previously, James worked as a Transportation Program Consultant II at NCDOT from August 2013 to May 2015, aiding public transportation planning and managing statewide grant programs. Prior experience includes founding and managing Immense Events, LLC, from April 2008 to October 2013, where event planning and execution were primary responsibilities. As Director of @rtp Programs from May 2010 to April 2013, James championed sustainability initiatives within The Research Triangle Park. James's career began at the City of Durham in November 2000, first as a Conservation Specialist and then as Conservation Coordinator, promoting water conservation and education. James holds a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University, earned between 1995 and 1999.
