Emily Anderson

City Council Member at City of Eau Claire

Emily Anderson, Ph.D., currently serves as a Technical Officer for the English Access Scholarship Program at FHI 360 and as a City Council Member for the City of Eau Claire. With a rich background in academia, Emily has held positions as a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and as a Program Director for the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs, where program management focused on social justice. As a writer, Emily is an award-winning novelist, poet, and essayist, publishing several young adult novels under the pen name Max Howard and a poetry/fiction hybrid. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University at Buffalo, alongside master's degrees from Bucknell University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
