Carolyn Jackson is a seasoned attorney and public servant with extensive experience in lobbying, economic development, and local government. Since January 2021, Jackson has served as a City Council Member for the City of Edina, while also maintaining a self-employed practice as an Attorney at Law since September 2017. Previous roles include Senior Lobbyist at Flaherty and Hood focusing on transportation and taxation, President and Founder of Carolyn's Chalet Cheese Production, and Economic Development Coordinator for the Coalition of Greater MN Cities. Notably, achievements include defeating a Voter Suppression Constitutional Amendment in 2012 through coalition building and legal advocacy. Jackson's legal career began at Chapman and Cutler and has included mentoring and counseling for local governments. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Northwestern University.
