Ramiro L. Gomez

Ramiro L. Gomez, Jr. has extensive experience in municipal solid waste management, serving as the Director of Solid Waste Management for the City of Edinburg since 2003, following a tenure that began in June 2000. In this role, Ramiro oversees all solid waste collection, processing, and disposal operations, leading a team of 124 professionals. Prior to this position, Ramiro worked as a Planner for the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council from February 1997 to June 2000. Ramiro holds an academic background from The University of Texas-Pan American, where studies took place from 1990 to 1992.
