Alderman 2nd Ward at City of Elmhurst

Karen Sienko, MLIS, currently serves as Alderman for the 2nd Ward in the City of Elmhurst since May 2023. In addition, Karen holds the position of Reference Librarian at Oak Brook Public Library, where responsibilities include managing the Non-Fiction collection and overseeing the Reference Desk. As a Library Specialist at Elmhurst Public Library since January 2018, Karen assists patrons with a variety of inquiries at the Adult Services Information Desks. Prior to their career in libraries, Karen worked at Aon Hewitt from September 1996 to August 2017 in several roles including Senior Business Analyst and Lead Systems Analyst, focusing on system design and international client implementations. Karen earned a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts in Small Business Administration/Management from North Central University.
