Adam Shapiro

Adam Shapiro is an experienced environmental specialist with a strong background in water resource management and compliance. Currently serving as Environmental Specialist II for The City of Encinitas since May 2019, Adam previously held the position of Environmental Specialist I at the City of Oceanside, focusing on NPDES municipal permit enforcement and local water quality protection. Prior experience includes working as Environmental Compliance Manager at Frog Environmental, providing environmental consulting for industrial clients to meet stormwater compliance. Adam also contributed to water research at Oregon State University as a Graduate Research Assistant, managing website content and publications. Adam holds a Professional Science Masters in Water Resources from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University.
