John Schade

John Schade is an Engineering Specialist at The City of Encinitas since June 2022, with prior experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering from September 2020 to June 2021. John has also interned at PARADIGM Structural Engineers, Inc. and Sullaway Engineering, Inc., gaining design engineering experience, and worked as a Content Development Intern at SolidProfessor. Earlier, John served as a Lifeguard I for the City of Del Mar from April 2015 to January 2018. John holds a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego (2020-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from the same university (2018-2020), along with additional educational experiences at MiraCosta College, the School of Architecture at Syracuse University, and UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design through the emBARC Summer Design Academy in 2014.
