Kornelija Newcomer

Kornelija Newcomer is an experienced Ocean Lifeguard for The City of Encinitas since July 2020 and a small business owner at Kornelija Art, where art prints, sustainable jewelry, and upcycled clothing are created and sold. Proficient in social media marketing and content creation, Kornelija engages audiences through effective strategies and visually appealing content, alongside skills in video and photo editing. Additionally, Kornelija served as a Sustainable Innovation Student Consultant at Schoolab, conducting market research for Dr. Martens and developing leather-based composite materials, and also gained hands-on experience as an intern at Mingako Fundación, working with recycled plastics. Kornelija is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainable Design at the University of California, Berkeley, having completed an exchange semester focused on Sustainability Studies at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
