Eric Dearden is an experienced project manager currently serving in the Public Works - Engineering department for the City of Eugene since November 2022. Prior to this role, Eric worked as a Civil Engineering Technician at A & O Engineering from May 2021 to November 2022, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno from May 2019 to May 2021, focusing on stormwater reclamation and treatment methods. Earlier roles include a Research Intern at California State University, Chico, where Eric contributed to long-term monitoring of stream chemistry and flow, and various research positions that involved evaluating stormwater management systems and engaging with educational outreach. Eric holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Nevada, Reno and California State University, Chico, respectively, along with an Associate of Science in Biology from Columbia College, California.
