Rob Ruiz

Rob Ruiz has extensive experience in IT management and leadership, currently serving as the Deputy Director of the IS Division for the City of Eugene since August 2025, overseeing various projects and teams related to DevOps and network architecture. Prior to this role, Rob worked as Division IT Manager at Parker Hannifin from January 2024 to September 2025 and as Director of IT at QT Imaging, Inc. from October 2018 to January 2024, where responsibilities included leading IT teams to support FDA-cleared medical imaging technologies. Rob's previous positions include Sr. Manager of Global IT Infrastructure and SAP Technology Manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where qualifications included leading global engineering teams and defining IT strategies for SAP ERP implementations. Earlier in a career at Alameda County IT Department, Rob managed Windows system administration teams and implemented significant storage solutions. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Technology Teacher Education/Industrial Arts Teacher Education from Western Washington University.
