Kerry Bauer

Kerry Bauer began their work experience in 2005 as a Swim Lesson Instructor at the YMCA. They then worked as a Family Play Specialist at the National Lekotek Center from 2005 to 2010, providing therapeutic play opportunities for families with children with special needs. In 2009, they also served as a Child Life Intern at Children's Memorial Hospital, where they promoted effective coping and provided emotional support for families. From 2010 to 2022, Kerry worked as a Child Life Specialist at Advocate Children's Hospital of Oak Lawn, utilizing their strong background in child development to support children and families facing challenging experiences related to healthcare. In 2019, Kerry took on two additional roles: Fashion Associate at The Colette Collection, and later, Client Relations Associate at The Barre Code. Finally, in 2022, Kerry became the Preschool Director at the City of Evanston.

Kerry Bauer holds a Master's degree in Child Life, which was obtained from Erikson Institute between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, Bauer completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Therapeutic Recreation at Southeast Missouri State University from 2000 to 2004. In addition to these degrees, Bauer also holds certifications in CCLS (obtained from The Child Life Council, Inc.), Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (obtained from NCTRC), and Kerry Bauer (obtained from The Association of Child Life Professionals, Inc.).
