Michael Sanders

Michael Sanders is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and crisis management within both government and military organizations. Currently serving as Chief Of Staff and Crisis Now Coordinator for the City of Fairbanks since February 2017, Michael Sanders leads the Crisis Now project, focusing on behavioral health crisis mitigation. In a previous role as Housing and Homeless Coordinator, Michael Sanders directed efforts to eliminate homelessness in Fairbanks. Michael Sanders' military career includes various leadership positions in the U.S. Army, culminating as Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge at the 1st Special Forces Command, alongside multiple medical and operational roles. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy Administration from Walden University and several master’s degrees, including an MBA from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
