Efrain Torres has a diverse work experience in various industries.
From 2017 to the present, they have worked at the City of Fontana, starting as a Senior Community Services Assistant/Art Instructor/Graphic Designer. In this role, they created and taught art classes, assisted citizens with registering for community activities, and provided graphic design services for multiple community centers. Efrain currently holds the position of Community Services Coordinator.
In 2014, Efrain founded and served as the Creative Director for Unholy Affair, where they oversaw all creative endeavors in art, design, music, fashion, and event planning.
From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Program of Art Assistant at the California Institute of the Arts. In this position, they managed the program calendar, handled enrollment concerns, and coordinated class schedules.
In 2017-2018, Efrain worked as an Archiver & Website Designer for Lecia Dole-Recio Studio. Efrain assisted in archiving artwork, built an Excel database for collection information, and designed a website for the artist using Adobe Muse.
From 2016 to 2017, they held multiple roles at the California Institute of the Arts, including Gallery/Studio Supervisor, Graduate Assistant, and Gallery/Studio Assistant. In these positions, they supported gallery and studio operations, aided in installing exhibitions, and supervised a team.
In 2016, Efrain worked as a Technical Assistant at CSSSA (California State Summer School for the Arts & Foundation).
Finally, from 2010 to 2015, they worked at OfficeMax as a Print Center Designer/Project Coordinator. Efrain played a leading role in a profitable print center team, handled client accounts, managed project communication, and created impactful designs.
Through these experiences, Efrain has acquired a wide range of skills in community services, art instruction, graphic design, event planning, administration, and project coordination.
Efrain Torres pursued their education in the field of Fine and Studio Arts. From 2015 to 2017, they attended the California Institute of the Arts where they obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2013, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Fine and Studio Arts from California State University-San Bernardino.
