Hector Gutierrez serves as the Community Schools Coordinating Supervisor at Clayton County Public Schools, focusing on the implementation of the community schools framework and building partnerships with stakeholders. Elected as a City Council Member for Ward 3 in Forest Park, Georgia, Hector actively engages in local governance. Additionally, Hector has held various roles in education, including as a Dual Language Immersion Teacher for Atlanta Public Schools and a Corps Member for Teach For America. Hector's extensive experience in the educational sector is complemented by a background in policy and advocacy through programs such as Leadership for Educational Equity, alongside participation in the Service Leadership Corps with The Mission Continues. Hector holds a Bachelor of Arts in World History & Cultures and Spanish Language and Literature from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Art in Teaching from Georgia State University, and is pursuing a Specialist in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia.
