Brad Babiak

Director Of Culture And Recreation at City of Fort Saskatchewan

Brad Babiak has a diverse work experience in the fields of culture, recreation, and government policy. Brad is currently the Director of Culture and Recreation at the City of Fort Saskatchewan. Prior to that, they worked at the Recreation & Physical Activity Branch of Alberta Culture & Tourism, where they served as the Director of Strategy and Policy. In this role, they were responsible for leading the strategic planning and evaluation of Active Alberta, as well as providing expertise in policy development and program evaluation. Before joining the branch, Brad worked at the Culture & Tourism, Government of Alberta, where they held various roles including Director of Planning and Performance Measurement, Manager of Environmental Scanning and Performance Measurement, and Senior Performance Measurement/Planning and Measurement Analyst. During their time at Statistics Canada, they served as a Research Consultant and Lead Course Instructor, conducting workshops on survey design, data analysis, and Aboriginal statistics training.

Brad Babiak completed their Bachelor of Physical Education and Recreation degree in Sport Performance at the University of Alberta in 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Sport Psychology at Western Illinois University, which they completed in 2006.
