Jay Parsons has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency response and healthcare. Jay is currently working as a Platoon Chief for the City of Fort Saskatchewan, where they are responsible for hiring, supervising employees, and creating policies and procedures. Jay also obtained the Blue Card Command System certification from B Shifter in February 2021 and became a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer-Exercise and Fitness Specialist (CPT-EFS) through Canfitpro in the same year.

In terms of healthcare, Jay became a Registered Advanced Care Paramedic through the Alberta College of Paramedics in March 2002.
