Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in law enforcement, management, and public service. Currently serving as a Police Detective for the City of Fort Walton Beach since February 2019, responsibilities include conducting criminal investigations and presenting evidence in court. Previous roles include Police Officer in the Patrol Division, Manager at Gulfside Trailrides LLC overseeing operations of a commercial horse farm, and Park Ranger with the Wildlands Conservancy focused on land security and maintenance. Michael served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, where duties included leading infantry squads and participating in presidential ceremonies. Early career experience includes wild-land firefighting with the California Conservation Corps. Michael is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of the Cumberlands and holds degrees in Business Administration from Taft College and California State University, Bakersfield.
