Rob Denkhaus

District Superintendent at City of Fort Worth

Rob Denkhaus currently serves as the District Superintendent for the City of Fort Worth since May 2024 and has extensive experience in environmental management and education. From 1997 to February 2025, Denkhaus was the Nature Center Manager at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, overseeing its operations and resource management activities. Previous roles include Natural Resource Manager, Park Naturalist, and Adjunct Faculty teaching wildlife-related classes at Texas Christian University. Denkhaus also held the position of Director for Teaming With Wildlife: True To Texas, advocating for wildlife conservation in Texas. Early career experiences include educational coordinator roles at Nashville Zoo and Mesker Park Zoo and program coordination at Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve. Denkhaus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management & Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
