Omar Dadabhoy has a extensive work experience in the public sector, primarily in community development and economic roles. From September 2022, they serve as the Deputy City Manager/Community Development Director for the City of Fountain Valley. Prior to this, they held the position of Community Development Director with the same city from April 2022. In February 2016, Omar joined the City of Aliso Viejo as the Community Development Director, where they worked until April 2022. Their career in the public sector began in January 2003, as the Economic and Community Development Director for the City of Stanton, where they remained until February 2016.
Omar Dadabhoy completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and a second Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine. Omar then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning, also at UC Irvine.
