Nancy Abts

Nancy Abts, AICP, currently serves as an Associate Planner with the City of Fridley since May 2021. Prior experience includes the role of City Planner for the City of Osseo, MN, where Nancy managed Planning and Community Development for a small historic community, overseeing land use reviews and serving as a liaison for various committees. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Urban Planning with a focus on Sustainable Design & Development from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. Additional experience encompasses a Research Assistant position at the University of Illinois, an Assistant District Manager role at Illinois Valley Soil & Water Conservation District, and earlier work with Pathways, Inc. and Jax Broadcasting.
