Robert Winiecke

Robert Winiecke is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure & Engineering for the City of Galveston since June 2020, overseeing various engineering and capital improvement construction projects. Previous roles include Public Works Director for the City of Cottonwood, Arizona (August 2015 - June 2020) and City Engineer for the City of Great Bend (February 2010 - July 2015), managing construction activities within city rights of way and on city-owned lands. Winiecke also has academic experience as an Associate Faculty member at Barton County Community College, teaching Intermediate Algebra from August 2010 to December 2012. Early career highlights include working as a Project Engineer at Dibble Engineering from October 2003 to January 2010, focusing on municipal water and sanitary sewer infrastructure projects, and as an Intern/Assistant Engineer in various divisions. Winiecke holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University (August 2023 - November 2023) and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University (August 1998 - May 2004).
