Brad Kavanaugh

Brad Kavanaugh, CEM, TEM, currently serves as the Preparedness and Resilience Coordinator for the City of Garland, where responsibilities include administering the emergency management program and updating emergency management plans. Previously, Kavanaugh was a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist at Amazon, focusing on compliance and metrics reporting. Experience also includes roles as a Correctional Officer and Field Training Officer with the Washington State Department of Corrections, an Emergency Management Intern for the City of Monroe, a Police Services Representative in Urbana, Illinois, and a Police Telecommunicator at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kavanaugh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security Emergency Management from Pierce College and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Parkland College.
