Carma Potter

Carma Potter is an experienced professional with a strong background in public service and administration. Currently serving as the Assistant to the City Council for the City of Garland since September 2018, Carma is responsible for responding to complex customer inquiries, assisting with city elections, and coordinating City Council meetings. Previous roles include Legal Assistant at Jameson & Powers, P.C., where contract review and database management were key duties, and Project Coordinator at the American Heart Association, focusing on web management and health initiatives. Carma also has experience in healthcare management as a Surgical Services Manager at Planned Parenthood of North Texas and has held various administrative positions in women's surgery centers. Carma holds a Master of Public Affairs in Local Government Management from The University of Texas at Dallas, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and English from Louisiana Tech University.
