Eric Smith is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry with extensive experience in radio engineering and system technology. Currently serving as Sr IT Radio Engineer for the City of Garland since February 2018, Eric previously held the position of Systems Technologist at Motorola Solutions, where leadership on multiple Astro 25 projects was achieved. Eric's career also includes roles as a Sr. Field Service Technician at BearCom, Contract Technician at Diffusion Temps, and Two Way Radio Technician at multiple organizations. Educational qualifications include several certificates from Motorola University in communication equipment and a completion certificate in Electronics from ATI Career Training Center-Dallas. Eric's military background as a Damage Controlman in the US Navy further complements a diverse skill set in technical and field service operations.
