Lauren Newton

Lauren Newton, PHR, currently serves as the Human Resources Manager for the City of Geneva, Illinois, since September 2023. Prior to this role, Lauren worked as a Human Resources Generalist for the City of Wheaton, managing HR functions in a municipality with over 300 employees, from September 2016 to August 2023. Lauren's experience also includes working as the only Human Resources Generalist at the Daily Herald Media Group, where responsibilities were reported directly to the VP of Human Resources. Earlier roles include Operations Specialist at Kingsway Financial Services Inc. and a Human Resources Intern at Knowles Electronics, where support was provided to all levels of the HR department. Lauren began a career in the retail industry as an Assistant Store Manager at Oakley, contributing to significant sales achievements. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from DeVry University, awarded between 2011 and 2013.
