Aly van Dyke

Aly Van Dyke has a diverse work history, with experience in both journalism and communications roles. Aly began their career as a Health reporter for the Kansas City Business Journal in 2010 and then worked as a Reporter for The Ottawa Herald and The Topeka Capital-Journal in 2011. In 2015, Aly became the Director of Media Relations for the City of Topeka, where they coordinated communications, supervised employees, and launched a successful tweet-a-long program. Aly later worked as a Marketing and Communications Consultant for the City of Austin from 2017 to 2020. Currently, Aly is serving as the Director of Communications and Public Engagement for the City of Georgetown.

Aly Van Dyke attended the University of Arizona from 2007 to 2009. Aly did not obtain a degree and their field of study is unknown. Aly later enrolled at The University of Kansas from 2009 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
