Roland Waits has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as the Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Georgetown since November 1994, where responsibilities include overseeing the Field Operations Bureau, which manages Patrol, Traffic, and Code Enforcement. Prior to this role, Roland served as a Law Enforcement Specialist in the U.S. Air Force from December 1986 to September 1996. Roland holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University–Central Texas, attained in 2021, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business and Management from St. Edward's University, completed in 2000. Additionally, Roland possesses a Master Peace Officer License in the State of Texas.
