Ryan Ramsey, M.D. has a diverse work experience in various healthcare settings. Ryan started their career as an Emergency Medicine Physician at TeamHealth / Capitol Emergency Associates in 2004. In 2010, they became the Medical Director at EMTS Academy. In 2013, they joined Texas A&M Health Science Center as an Associate Clinical Professor in the College of Medicine and also served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Nursing at Texas State University System. In 2014, they joined the City of Georgetown as the EMS Medical Director for the Georgetown Fire Department, overseeing the transition to an Advanced Life Support EMS Transporting Agency. Ryan has successfully supervised the growth of the organization, achieving recognition for their ALS service.

Dr. Ryan Ramsey's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, which they obtained from Abilene Christian University from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center from 1997 to 2001. Later, they completed an Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the same institution, earning their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a specialization in Emergency Medicine from 2001 to 2004.

Dr. Ramsey has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. Ryan is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, achieved in 2005 and 2019, respectively. Additionally, they have certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), ACLS Instructor, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Bleeding Control Course Instructor (B-CON), Counter Narcotics and Terrorism Operational Medical Support (CONTOMS) Tactical Medical Director/SOMSA, Critical Decision Making for Complex Coordinated Attacks (PER-335), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Ramsey holds memberships as a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM). Ryan has also completed the Medical Director Course offered by the National Association of EMS Physicians. Furthermore, they are a certified Level 2 Instructor designated by the National Association of EMS Educators. In addition, Dr. Ramsey is a First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor accredited by the American Heart Association.
