CITY OF GRAND FORKS
Hamzat Koriko, PhD, serves as a Community Integration Facilitator for the City of Grand Forks, ND, enhancing the accessibility of local resources for New Americans and refugees. In addition, Koriko is the Chief Executive Officer of both KORI-KO, LLC, a consulting firm that connects businesses to Africa, and Kori Art. As the Country Director for Praxis Africa and an Instructor in the Honors Program at the University of North Dakota, Koriko teaches inquiry in the humanities, emphasizing immigrant experiences. Previous roles include Artistic Director for African Arts Arena, where educational initiatives promoted cultural tolerance, and TEFL Instructor for the Peace Corps, focused on English language education. Koriko holds a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations and Research from the University of North Dakota, where prior degrees in the same field and linguistics were also obtained.
