Brian Bradley

Hydraulic Engineer at City of Grand Rapids

Brian Bradley is a traffic engineer at the City of Grand Rapids. Brian has also worked as a project engineer for David Mason & Associates and as an operations flight deputy commander for the United States Air Force.

Bradley has experience in designing site improvements, storm water management, bioretention areas, and pipe sizes for storm lines. Brian is also familiar with ADA standards. In their previous role with the Air Force, they were responsible for providing operations and maintenance for Kadena Air Base (AB) and various other Department of Defense installations on Okinawa, Japan. This included leadership, oversight of work, and continual operations of 645 multi-craft/multi-cultural personnel in the Air Force largest Operations Flight. Bradley also managed 28 different Service Contracts that included refuse collection for 8,300 houses, a recycle center, grounds maintenance, elevator maintenance, and hardened aircraft hangar doors.

In addition to their management duties, Bradley was responsible for the operation and maintenance of 1.1M linear feet of fence, 3M linear feet of storm drains, 2.5M square feet of airfield pavement, mowing and trimming 600 acres, support paint & sign requirements and maintaining $7.9B physical plant on 6.8K O&M facilities, 730 miles of primary electrical lines, 350 miles water distribution lines, 200 miles of roads & parking, over 750 fire alarm systems on 9 different installations, 937 fire suppression systems, 5 JP-8 liquid fuel systems and 9M gallon water supply.

Brian Bradley's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Western Michigan University. Brian is also certified as a Professional Engineer in the states of Michigan, Missouri, and Illinois.

Brian Bradley works with Michael Langlois - Traffic Technician, Benjamin Waldrop - Traffic Technician, and Jonathan Re - Assistant Project Manager. Their manager is John Bartlett, Traffic System Engineer.
