Jonathan Oeverman is the Information Systems Coordinator at City of Grand Rapids. Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries.

Jonathan started their career as an Engineering Technician with Materials Testing Consultants in 1999. Jonathan was responsible for conducting laboratory & on-site quality assurance testing on soils, concrete, mortar and asphalt. Jonathan also documented and communicated test results to project managers. Some of their major projects included the U.S. 131 S-curve, Rivertown Crossings Mall, and Grand Valley State University.

In 2003, Jonathan joined Gordon Oeverman, Builder, Inc. as Crew Forman. Jonathan's responsibilities included management of daily operations and general contracting for the company's custom high-end residential and commercial construction business. Jonathan supervised 8 staff members, oversaw equipment, materials, budgets and timelines. Additionally, they performed framing, roofing, and window installation for custom homes and commercial construction projects.

Jonathan has been with City of Grand Rapids since 2007. In their current role as Information Systems Coordinator, they are responsible for managing the city's IT systems and infrastructure.

Jonathan Oeverman studied engineering and geography at Calvin University, and then went on to study geographic information science and cartography at the same school.

Jonathan Oeverman works with Richard Devries - Assistant City Engineer, Tracy Hover - Financial Analyst, and Jeffrey McCaul - Assistant City Engineer. Their manager is Tim Burkman, City Engineer.
