Kolene Allen

Kolene Allen is an administrative analyst who has worked for the City of Grand Rapids since August 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an information systems technician for the Grand Rapids Public Library from August 1994 to August 2015, where they were responsible for installing and administering numerous Unix-based servers, including web, email, proxy, and firewall servers. Kolene also led hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity, including CPU hardware, product upgrades, and peripherals. In addition, they provided technical support and general troubleshooting for the library's Inter-Tel Axxess phone system, including voice over IP technology. Kolene also has experience with wiring, including analog/digital phones lines and cat5, and supporting local and wide area networks using Cisco routers and switches.

Kolene Allen received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Network Management from Davenport University.
