Kristin Bennett is the current assistant project manager at the City of Grand Rapids. Prior to that, they were the bicycle/pedestrian transportation manager at the City of Milwaukee from March 2013 to November 2016. Before that, they were the senior transportation planner at the City of Colorado Springs from February 2005 to March 2013, where they managed the city's bicycle, pedestrian, and school safety programs. Kristin has also been an instructor for the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals and the National Complete Streets Coalition. Kristin started their career as a transportation program manager at the Genesee Transportation Council in January 1997 and held that position until December 2005.
Kristin Bennett received a BS in Environmental Studies, International Politics, and German from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. Kristin then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government and Environmental Science from the same school. Finally, they completed their education at the University of Oregon with a degree in Transportation and Environmental Planning.
Their manager is John Bartlett, Traffic System Engineer. They are on a team with Jonathan Re - Assistant Project Manager, Brian Bradley - Traffic Engineer, and Benjamin Waldrop - Traffic Technician.
