Milinda Ysasi is a 2nd Ward Commissioner at the City of Grand Rapids. Prior to their current role, Milinda was the Executive Director at The SOURCE, a members-only nonprofit business collaborative. At The SOURCE, Milinda worked to increase employee retention, provide soft and hard skills trainings, strengthen families, and build community.

Before their time at The SOURCE, Milinda was a Founding Member of WorkLab Innovations LLC. WorkLab Innovations is a nonprofit under WorkLife Partnership that advances worker retention, employee engagement, and productivity for companies employing lower-skill, entry-level workers. Milinda provided technical assistance, best practices, and thought-leadership to communities and organizations wanting to replicate the “workforce sustainability” model.

Milinda’s experience in workforce sustainability has led their to their current role as a 2nd Ward Commissioner at the City of Grand Rapids where they continue to work towards their goal of economic self-sufficiency for employees and their families.

Milinda Ysasi has a Executive Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business with a focus in Integrative Management. Milinda also has a B.B.A from Grand Valley State University in Management and Marketing.
