Michelle Hansen has extensive experience in financial management, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Greater Dandenong since December 2011, where responsibilities also include roles as Executive Manager of Finance and Information Technology and Manager of Finance & Information Technology. Previous roles include Senior Management Accountant and Coordinator Governance (secondment) at the City of Boroondara from December 2006 to December 2011, Coordinator of Financial Accounting at the City of Monash from August 2005 to November 2006, Financial Accountant at Knox City Council from June 2001 to August 2005, and Assistant Management Accountant at Manningham City Council from September 1999 to May 2001. Michelle Hansen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Deakin University and is a CPA, having completed the certification process between 2004 and 2006.
