Darren Simmons

Darren Simmons is an experienced local government professional currently serving as the Mullewa District Office Manager for the City of Greater Geraldton since August 2023. Previously, Darren held the position of Chief Executive Officer at The Shire of Koorda from May 2019 to August 2023. Darren's career includes a role as Local Government CEO on a career break at the Shire of Irwin from July 2018 to April 2019, followed by CEO of the Shire of Irwin from September 2010 to July 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Manager of Corporate Services at the Shire of Collie from June 2006 to September 2010 and Manager of Council Support at the City of Stirling from March 2002 to June 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Australia, an Advanced Diploma in Management from AIM-UWA, and a Diploma in Local Government from Central Institute of Technology.
