Bret Naber

Chief Information Officer at City of Greeley

Bret Naber has extensive experience in information technology and management roles. Bret is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer for the City of Greeley, where they oversee technology initiatives, manages the IT department, and maximizes its strategic partnership capabilities. Prior to this, Bret worked at the University of Northern Colorado as the Chief Information Officer and Interim Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management. In this role, they developed and implemented IT strategies, managed a large division, and maintained effective partnerships. Bret also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the university, teaching courses on system analysis and design. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of Institutional Systems and Architecture and as a System Analyst, gaining experience in web and mainframe application development. Additionally, Bret had a role in the Racing Team at Runners Roost.

Bret Naber has a Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Technology from the University of Northern Colorado. Bret pursued this degree from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Computer Information Systems Emphasis from the same university. Bret completed their undergraduate studies from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Bret has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they acquired a Lean Six Sigma certification from Villanova University and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the same institution. Later, in 2022, they obtained a Leading Edge - High Performing Organizations certification from the College of Charleston.
