Nelvis Alvarez is an experienced public engagement professional currently serving as the Public Engagement Manager for the City of Greeley since January 2023. Previously, Nelvis held key roles at Denver Public Schools, including Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Manager of Multicultural Outreach, where responsibilities included strategic management of community engagement initiatives, event planning, and stakeholder relationship building. Nelvis also contributed to marketing and outreach efforts at the GEO Foundation and White Hat Management, achieving significant student enrollment and community engagement. Additional experience includes hosting and producing a community television program aimed at supporting the Spanish-speaking population in the Denver area. Nelvis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCAB and has completed various leadership programs and certifications in education.
